Year in review, 2021

As I’m writing this, I truly feel like we’re still finishing up August (despite the snow outside). This year has been a complete whirlwind with breaks early in the year to a super busy late summer/early fall filled with couples who booked right as the pandemic started, couples booking for 2022 and couples who postponed from 2020.

I’m so appreciative of all the support and understanding as the wedding world tackled this unprecedented territory. Like I always say, I have the best clients in the world. So let’s celebrate one more time with them as 2021 comes to a close.

Jill and Matt, Venue on Washington

January 1, 2021

Celebrating New Years Eve out of town with a wedding the next day was a new thing for me! Carl came along with me to Phoenix for Jill and Matt’s New Year desert wedding. It was an amazing party with a gorgeous atmosphere and great food. Such an amazing way to start the new year off!

Laura and Tyler, Chateau du nuage

June 5, 2021

Laura and Tyler were the first wedding of the year at the new venue up the street from me, Chateau du Nuage. We had a great time working together, laughing all the time while finding connections between us (Carl and I have worked with Tyler’s brother and wife in our flipping endeavors).

Their wedding was gorgeous and oh so fun as we kicked off our wedding season with low covid cases and family and friends who were so incredibly happy to see each other once again.

Chloe and Musse, Private Residence in Tacoma

July 10, 2021

A backyard wedding is always exciting to work on because there are so many additional details and logistics involved. Chloe and Musse had a super chill, modern wedding at her parents friends house in Tacoma. They brought in Musse’s Ethiopian culture and their love for unique food to reflect the two of them as a couple. So many guests walked around saying: “This is so Chloe and Musse” which, to me, is one of the best things to hear at a wedding.

Denali and Monte, Alderbrook Golf Club

July 31, 2021

I met Denali and Monte through Monte’s dad, Mark, who is a DJ I’ve worked with before. They were getting married at the Alderbrook Golf Club where her grandparents were key players with the resort. Having their dog, Luna, in the ceremony was key for the couple as well as being surrounded by their closest friends and family. The support system surrounding them on their wedding day was amazing. They danced the night away and had a great time socializing with their favorite people.

Airelle and Aristotle, St. Vincent de Paul parish and The Federal Way Performing Arts Center

August 14, 2021

I met Airelle and Aristotle in February 2020 right before everything shut down. They were the sweetest couple, always checking what each other wanted, and not sure what exactly should come next in their wedding planning adventure.

Madison and Nathan, Evergreen meadows

August 22, 2021

Madison and Nathan had a gorgeous micro wedding at Evergreen Meadows. They had dueling pianos for their reception music, which brought all of their guests to the dance floor. They had a great time being able to spend quality time with each of their guests during their wedding day.

paige and cody, Private residence in enumclaw

August 28, 2021

Paige and Cody had a modern boho wedding at her parents house/farm in Enumclaw. There were so many fun elements to their wedding day down to mini copper mule mugs filled with moscow mules waiting for guests upon their arrival. The wedding was beautiful and the party went late, just as they wanted.

Jennifer and Cody, Rock Creek Gardens

September 5, 2021

I met Jennifer and Cody shortly before their wedding day as a subcontract for a friend. They were so gracious, kind and amazing to work with. Their families were fantastic and everything was gorgeous. We loved working with familiar vendors in a beautiful venue. It was truly a dream helping with their wedding.

jessica and klarissa, Lake Wilderness Lodge

September 12, 2021

We met Jessica and Klarissa pre-covid at a wedding show and they held onto our info until they had a date set they knew wasn’t going to be rescheduled due to covid restrictions.

We loved their unique style, their wedding party and their casual vibes. The weather held out and they had a beautiful wedding at the lake.

Theresa and Francis, Rein fire ranch

September 25, 2021

Francis and Theresa had an intimate ceremony in the fall of 2020 so this was their re-do with a much larger crowd. They had a beautiful ceremony and reception with romantic and slightly vintage feels. It was so great to see them have their official wedding this year after working with them for nearly two years beforehand.

Elizabeth and Derrick, Evergreen Meadows

September 26, 2021

Elizabeth and Derrick had a small, intimate wedding and reception with their closest friends and family. It was fun, relaxed and filled with great times with their guests. The weather poured at times, but the party kept going!

stellsie and austin, rein fire ranch

October 1, 2021

Stellsie and Austin wanted a fall themed wedding that reflected them, so there were sheds and pumpkins galore! They had a fabulous day filled with so much laughter and fun from their closest friends and family. We had a great time getting to know them during the planning and design process and were so happy with how the entire day turned out.

Kristine and Brandon, Canterwood Country Club

October 10, 2021

Kristine and Brandon postponed their 2020 wedding so they could have the wedding they desired, with dancing and their family and friends nearby. They were so excited to get married this year, it was amazing to watch their faces light up every time we met. The wedding was intimate and a great time was had by all, especially on the dance floor.

Jill and Zack, Rein fire ranch

October 16, 2021

Jill and Zack had a small ceremony in 2020 and postponed their large wedding until 2021. They had a beautiful and relaxing day at the ranch complete with Petunia, Rein Fire’s mobile mule bar. Their wedding design was clean and modern with gorgeous florals done by Jill’s friend Francesca of Shady Vines Floral.

Jennifer and Bobby, The press room

November 6, 2021

Jennifer and Bobby wanted to have an elegant cocktail party feel to their wedding at The Press Room. They had Old Fashioneds and Manhattans to drink and gave out bottles of champagne, matchbooks and cigars to their guests. It was a fun day watching all of their details come together.

Morgan and Sam, The edgewater hotel

December 11, 2021

While their wedding was just a couple of weeks ago, we are still basking in the elegance and fun that was had that day. Their wedding was beautifully styled to be simple, sophisticated and reminiscent of the winter time of year. I’m so excited to see their professional photos from that day!

Well, there it is! 2021 weddings that are complete and officially in that newlywed status.

Much love and health to all of you in the new year.

Let’s go 2022!

Cheers!
