Year in Review 2019

Holy cow, can you believe we are at the end of another decade?? Not to mention, the end of another wonderful year of events at The Bubbly Soirée.We were lucky to work with 11 wonderful couples this year and I worked with many more in Seabrook, working as their venue coordinator for most of the summer, in between my own Bubbly weddings. We had travel, we had fun and in the end, we were able to give to our neighbors philanthropically at the Maple Valley Food Bank. We became friends with many other vendors in our industry, which helped fulfill our community over competition goals.Without further ado, here is our 2019 year in review!

Winter

We started off the year with a bang, with Brian and Jaylene's wedding in Issaquah at the Pickering Barn in January. Their wedding was filled with family and friends and a lot of family touches like homemade pies for 300 by Jaylene's grandma. 

In February, I did my first styled shoot. We trekked out to Ruby Beach and carried all of the things down there, including a full, heavy wood pallet. The result was amazing, and I'm so happy I did it. A huge shoutout to Stormy, our bride, who braved the February cold on a Washington beach. You rock, lady!

If you haven't taken a trip to Ruby Beach, I highly recommend it, it's beautiful out there. 

Spring

At the beginning of May, I had the pleasure of working with Janet and Sun with their Columbia Tower Club wedding. It was blush, white and gold and it was gorgeous. The views didn't hurt either! Many thanks to their family and friends who were gracious with the little bit of Korean I know and to Corine at the club, who has become a friend I seek out at industry events. 

At the end of the month, we had the pleasure of working with an amazing vendor team at Chris and Keyton's wedding at Black Diamond Gardens. Incorporating their adorable dog, Maisy, along with an amazing party made this a wedding we won't forget. You can read more about their wedding day here.

The day after (yes, we're crazy), we went to Seattle to help Nick and Sara's get married at 415 Westlake. They are the sweetest couple and their wedding was a gorgeous mix of urban with clean, white lines. We also got to work with one of our favorite florists, Jessica Vann-Campbell,  which is always a beautiful good time. You can read more about their wedding day here.

Summer

Whitney and Razima got married in Seabrook in the beginning of June. Their wedding day was the most love-filled day I experienced this year. Their family and friends were all amazing and we were all in tears pretty much the whole day. Love. Love. Love.

After a busy July traveling to Seabrook pretty much every weekend, we kept up the tradition in the first weekend of August with three weddings.

The first was Friday night, Nell and Dave. Nell and I hit it off with our science-y backgrounds and I knew we were going to have fun. With gorgeous paper flowers, three different locations around Seabrook, the Shutterbus and a favor table that was completely empty at the end of the night, it was a wedding to remember.

On Saturday, Alyssa and Brad tied the knot at Pacific Glen and then followed up with a reception at Town Hall. Their wedding was beautiful, with gorgeous weather to match. Once we moved tables around inside to make room for dancing, the real party began, complete with fun glow stick accessories!

That Sunday, we helped Frannie and Yiqiao with their wedding. We had only chatted over the phone beforehand because they live in New York. It was wonderful meeting them finally and then their families and friends. Their wedding was classic, with a touch of Chinese to bring in some of Yiqiao's culture. It was a fun, casual reception with everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves at the tent at Crescent Park in Seabrook.

We made it back closer to home with Madeline and Jacob's Craven Farm wedding. I loved working with Madeline and her mom, Leanne, to help put together all of the pieces of the day. It was a beautiful wedding, catered by none-other than the groom's family! A ton of love and laughter was shared by all that day, it was amazing.

In mid-August, I had the pleasure of working with Alix and Andrew at their Mountain View Manor wedding. During their first dance it was like no one else was around, it was probably my favorite first dance of the summer. That combined with a father/daughter dance that made Alix's dad cry, not to mention everyone else made this wedding day memorable.

September brought new weather and another beautiful wedding. Katie and Andy were planning an outdoor ceremony but the rain decided otherwise. Luckily, they were at the Mill Creek Country Club, which has a gorgeous indoor ceremony area. A healthy WSU/UW rivalry between the couple kept their family and friends on their toes during the speeches portion of the night before they tore up the dance floor. 

Fall 

Rachel and I traveled to Las Vegas in October to attend the Wedding MBA conference. We met some amazing fellow vendors there and learned a ton at the seminars. We came back refreshed and ready to take on the new year.

Thank you to all of our amazing couples we had the pleasure to work with this year. We appreciate the trust you put in us on a very special and momentous day for you. We love your friendship and hope we get to keep in touch to hear all about your future experiences together. 

To our fellow vendors, thank you for being so amazing to work with. We have had the pleasure of building amazing relationships with you and love being part of the community over competition feel in the PNW. We truly couldn't do what we do without all that you do and for that, we are extremely grateful. 

Here's to the end of another amazing year, and onto an even better one to come in this new decade.
