A Very Indie Backyard Wedding In Tacoma

I met Chloe and Musse while working Chloe’s brother’s wedding in 2020. They had recently become engaged and were just starting on their wedding planning journey together. They were planning to get married at a friend’s house overlooking the sound in Tacoma. The property was expansive, which made for amazing places for the couple and their wedding party to get ready, with having separate spaces for the ceremony and reception.

The weather was gorgeous and not too hot, considering the wedding was in the middle of July. Well, hot enough to start melting the candles in the sun at least…. We brought in rentals to create their vision of a terracotta and colorful, but natural vibe. The music throughout the day fit with Chloe and Musse’s personality-think Indie mixed with some Ethiopian flair and they had mango pudding with an expansive boba bar for dessert. The colors all fit together, the music was on-point and the love between the two families merging was absolutely amazing.
