Hailey and Andy, NOLA inspired Pioneer Square Wedding
Married on October 13, 2022

Hailey and Andy came to me to help bring their New Orleans-style wedding vision to life. They wanted lots of moody greens and brown tones as well as a venue that suited the NOLA style they loved. They have two young boys, so needed help building out their wedding in less than 10 months during a very busy wedding year in the Seattle area.
We got straight to work, searching for the perfect venue and Axis Pioneer Square fit the bill perfectly. With access to the alley behind the building, we hoped for great October weather so they could have their ceremony outside. Luckily, the weather was perfect that day, so we were able to have their dream ceremony in the back alley. We were even able to cover the garbage cans with extra linens so they blended more into the photos. (sneak a peek below!)
The couple had a love for Star Wars, video games and their Funko Pop couple characters they had collected over the years. We made sure their invitations had nods to Star Wars, as well as the rebel alliance wax seal being carried out in their meal selections for their guests. We adorned the globe wall at Axis with their Funko Pop couples for all to enjoy while they found their seating assignments. It was certainly a conversation starter with couples such as Princess Buttercup and Wesley from The Princess Bride, to Beauty and the Beast.
Hailey and Andy opted to not see each other before the ceremony and Hailey wanted to make sure she was able to share a spotlight dance with her mom. She wanted it to be a surprise for her, and as you can see, she was elated and surprised. I love it when couples take traditions and make them their own.
Ravishing Radish provided an amazing meal with raw oysters during cocktail hour, which was a must-have for the couple. Andy fell in love with their mini cannolis so we made sure those were an option for the guests desserts.
As their guests left for the evening, Hailey and Andy wanted to make sure they had a late night snack to bring back to their hotel room, so each guest had a small charcuterie to-go box to take with.
