Chris and Keyton's wedding at Black Diamond Gardens

Chris and Keyton are a super cool couple who booked me about a year before their late spring wedding in May 2019. We chatted a couple of times, but really hit the ground running about two months before their wedding day. Rachel and I went and met Keyton at the venue to walk through everything. We figured out the table arrangements, what sizes of decorations and decor she would need, where the cake table would go, among many other details. After that, we chatted more about figuring out her timeline, finalizing the layout with the venue, and then making sure I knew everything they knew about their wedding so we could execute it exactly how they would have. The morning of the wedding, Keyton's dad and some other family members dropped off their decorations and supplies. We were greeted with 5 large 5-gallon buckets filled with peonies that Chris and Keyton had ordered from a farm at Pike Place Market. They were gorgeous!!The first goal of ours was to get the linens on the tables (once we verified that the layout was correct) so they were ready for decorating. Then we went on to the flowers...First step was figuring out what vase was what, and then exactly what the layout would be for each table. We then put some of the flowers out on a table and organized them by color. This way, they were easier to keep random as we placed them into vases. So we started filling vases with water, and trimming, and sizing them up and down to make sure the heights weren't too wonky. And then we placed them on the tables. Aaaahhh...that moment of glory when you get to see all that you've done come to fruition and realize: Hey,  it's not too shabby! Plates, folded napkins and silverware finished out the look on the guest tables.Their ceremony area was simple and yet elegant. Rose petals lined the aisle and more flower arrangements and white lanterns lines the steps leading up to the stage. They had their adorable Yorkie dog, Maisy, along with them. She walked down the aisle and was part of the crest that Keyton made for the wedding day. After the ceremony, she was picked up by Jean, a local gal who we found through Rover.com. Maisy had a great time riding in her convertible! After dinner, once the toasts had begun, we went outside to pick up the flower petals. The key was being stealth about it so no one would see us crawling around on the ground. Ha!We then transitioned their welcome table into the s'mores table. We lit the fire pit, grabbed some roasting sticks and they were good to go!Once the dancing really kicked into gear, we opened up and started distributing the glow sticks, which were a huge hit! They had a sparkler exit before they all piled into a rented bus to take them to their hotel in Renton.A huge thank you to the awesome team of vendors who helped make their day so much fun:Venue: Black Diamond GardensPhotographer: Erin Perkins PhotographyVideographer: Vanilla Film  Officiant: John CandlerCatering: Brank's BBQCake and cupcakes: Gracene's CupcakesDJ: Headsmile ProductionsBartending: Emerald City CocktailsCoordination and Floral arrangements: The Bubbly SoiréeDress: La Belle Elaine'sBride and Bridesmaid's hair: Seattle Wedding Hair
